Well, being from the USA, I feel like I should put something here in reference to last weeks' events.
I have to say that now that the initial shock has worn off, I am up to the extreme anger stage. I just can't imagine what was in these peoples minds when they decided to kill over 50,000 people.
Yet I still had to explain the WHYS, HOW COMES to my 7 year old daughter. I decided that I should be paid by the terrorists for my time. So here is a copy of the bill that I made up. Maybe some of you would like to add your own bill to this one. Maybe not. Just a thought though. Here it is:
They should pay us for our time, just like anyone else!
Anyone else have a bill for them?? I am sure that the Red Cross would love to collect all monies from them- to aid in the recovery effort!

I get $10.00 an hour in US Funds at my job. Therefore, my time is worth at least that much.
To the jerk in charge be it known to you that you owe me $370.00 in US Funds for trying to explain YOUR cowardly act of vengeance/hatred to my daughter.

Tues. 9-11-01 - 4 hours @ 10.00 $40.00 US
"why are we watching this?"
"How come the buildings fell down?"
Wed. 9-12-01- 4 hours @ 10.00 $40.00 US
" why did they kill so many people?"
"How many is 50,000?"
Thurs.9-13-01- 2 hours @ 10.00 $20.00 US
"Why is this still all over TV? "
Friday 9-14-01- 5 hours @ 10.00 $50.00 US
"How come they wanted to kill all those people?"
When we sang "Amazing Grace" with the Memorial service on Television "How come we are singing that song?"
Saturday 9-15-01- 8 hours @ 10.00 $80.00 US
4 hours Over-Time 15.00 $60.00 US
"Who are they?"
"What is a terrorist?"
"Why do they think that God will let them into Heaven after this?"
For the constant questions about why did God let them do this, why did they kill all those people and the biggest one of all WHY?
8 hours @ $80.00 US
So lets add this up shall we?
40 + 40 + 20 + 50 + 80 + 60 + 80= $370.00 US Dollars Payable in US funds upon receipt of this bill.
By my way of thinking, Osama Bin Laden or who ever is responsible owes me $370.00; in addition to the interest that accrues daily at what ever the going rate is in the USA.
It may be petty cash to you, mr. bin laden, but that is what I am billing you for, MY time and effort that could have been better spent by cleaning up my house and cleaning out the cat boxes!
Instead, I had to find a way to explain your irresponsible behavior and your complete disregard of the many innocent lives you took - to my 7-year-old daughter.
It is only fair that you pay this bill in a timely manor. I had to explain what you horrible people did and why you did it.
And THAT was done immediately after my daughter asked me questions about your acts of violence.
I will only except cash... no checks of any kind or money orders and I don't take credit cards.
You can hand the money over to the American Red Cross in my name. This is to help pay for the damage you caused both to the buildings and families that you destroyed!
By the way, the ONLY thing you have served to do is bring the American people and almost the entire world together! Everyone has put aside their petty differences just to kick your butt!
