The Life:
As I am Gino, a geezer that speaks about life as it’s more then an important thing but the end of knowledge and beginning of experience . Learning and understanding is what my life is about, in between I live life at it’s fullest.
The Interest:
On my search for knowledge and life I participate and observe every kind of culture. I’m into literature, poetry, movies, music, sports, food, religions, history, games and any other form of personal exploration.
The Literature and Poetry:
Books are the first pathway to knowledge and there is not one subject that hasn’t been covered by a book. I love English and Dutch literature especially by these authors: James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Bredan Behan, W.B. Yeats, Ronald Giphart, Joost Zwagerman, Arnon Grunberg, Harry Mulisch, Kees van Kooten, Maarten t’Hart, Louis Couperus and many more.
The Movies:
Movies are amazing and almost as energizing as books. They can take you to a second realm where reality isn’t present. There aren’t any films in particular that I’m into but I can give you a list of movies that are my personal favourites: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Lock stock and two smoking barrels, Yellow Submarine, Waking Life, Kill Bill, Star Wars, Snatch, Silence of the Lambs, The Godfather, The Exorcist, The Matrix, Platoon, Braveheart, Michael Collins, Rob Roy, Omagh, Bloody Sunday, Dude, where’s my car, Any Given Sunday, Hellboy, Spawn, Batman and many other classics that are probably also your picks.
The Music:
Life without music is unthinkable, at least for me that is. It’s an ever present tune where ever you will go. Even the falling of the leaves could make the music and therefore I simply love music in any state of mind. I don’t hate any of it but I just have my preferences. Taking a liking in hip-hop, heavy metal, jazz, classic, Soul, Pop, Folk, Bagpipes, Singer/songwriter, RnB and any other music that’s inspiring. If it’s done out of heart I really respect every note.
The Sports:
If you would have a first look at me you couldn’t tell that I’m really into sports. But truth is that it’s one of my greatest passions. Physical strength and endurance are extremely important to any person as nobody could do without it. Sport as a competitive form is a different way. I actively enjoy playing Rugby and American Football, both very physique sports but that’s the way I like it.
As a spectator I’m very into Basketball, Baseball, Ice hockey, Soccer, Boxing, GAA and Rally racing.
I support: Liverpool FC, Celtic, St. Louis Rams, Ajax FC, London Irish, Dublin (GAA).
