I've learned that the people you care most
about in life are taken from you too soon
and all the less important ones just never go away.
Thanks for the random quote, wondering why? Wondering which path you
crossed where I stayed awhile.

it was purely random, I think I saw you on the who's on panel or something. your quote gave me goose bumps though, so maybe it was meant to happen. And now, when I would so much rather surf around and ponder the meaning of life, I must put my clothes on and take my daughter the forgotten poms as I do every game day. nice to meet you ~

Who`s on first whats on second? lol.
Do you mean your daughter forgets her pom-poms every match day?
I wasn`t sure (forgive me) from reading your home-page whether you were male of female. Of course your last two diary entries make that clear but you hadn`t written them when I stopped by. I was leaning toward female from your comment about my home-page!

because females are just naturally more congeial? well since you read my last two journal entries I guess that's not necessarily so is it? yeah every match day, she forgets the pom poms, other days she forgets lunch money, homework, anything will do.

Not just congenial but more importantly empathic.
This in truth really only applies to woman over thirtyish, as the younger ones haven`t really experienced enough `life` to have a clue.
Nothing annoys me more on this site than listening to young people prattling on about things they haven`t personally experienced as if they are the font of all knowledge!
Did you really want to know that? I don`t think so...sorry!
I`ve always been curious about how girls in america accept the role of cheerleaders? In England we don`t have such things as most females here would see it as degrading to be served up as half-time entertainment. Girls would rather play football. Just one of the differences in our cultures I guess.

what you call football is probably what we call soccer, and my daughter is quite good at that too. After basketball season (the team she is cheering for now) she'll play softball till summer break. then there will be the community basketball team she will try out for. as far as she is concerned cheering is just as much a sport as any of those other things. it is quite atletic with lots of stunts and dances. it requires good rythm, stamina, co-ordination and memory (there are an incredible number of moves they have to remember) As long as the girls behave in a respectable manner they have no reason to expect to be treated otherwise. I'm not hoping she will do it professionally or anything, but I want her to have pride in everything that she does.
I know what you mean about kids that know everything, I do have a teenager after all. What's more my five year old grandson now knows more than me too. And he just adores the cheerleaders. Game day is his favorite day when he gets to go hang out with all those teen age girls.

Youth is a good thing but you and I know it cant replace wisdom gained through the school of hard knocks! Ah! Think of the things you would do differently if you could start again at 21. No earlier mind, I wouldn`t fancy being a teen again! No fear, thinking you know everything but actually knowing very little! lol.
