Some believe that the tooth fairy, Easter bunny and Santa Claus lies prepare kids for disappointment and disillusionment later in life. I think those things take care of themselves anyway.

I think they're harmless lies, but if I had kids, they'd have a very pragmatic upbringing. I'd still give them a coin per tooth and I'd explain about the whole fairy story thing that other kids hear, but their friends' parents would be very upset with me as my kids told their kids the truth and I'd be proud.

Oh dear, I have had a worrying start to the weekend. I was expecting a visit from my son's carer and her family and instead I eventually managed to contact her and was told that her eldest daughter aged 18 was inside. goodness knows what she did,but it has completely disrupted their lives and of course ourse.,

I am going to try and write down some rules about growing old. With the wonderful advances made in the medical field it is fairly obvious that everyone is going to live to be at least 20=30 years longer than they think.

Well, the tooth is still hanging in there Not by very darn much, though, and her adult tooth is starting to become visible behind the baby tooth.
