Sounds smiley - cool huh? Even if 31 feels a bit young to have that particular titlesmiley - tongueout

Actually, the little guy was due on March 7, but Anna had to go in for a c-section today. She had placenta previa, so would have had a c-section anyway, but the last couple of days she'd had some weird (unrelated to the placenta previa) symptoms, and went in today. We're headed to the hospital to visit here in a few minutes, so I'd better post this now...

Well, I've nieces and nephews older than mesmiley - nahnah

Of course, that's just because I've a stepsister who was born just a couple years later than my mom...

Oh, and I have no idea why I had placenta previa stuck in my head earliersmiley - flustered It was pre-eclampsiasmiley - yikes

Don't know how long little James Michael is, but he's 3 lbs 15 oz. Didn't get to see him, as my turn to go up was during the smiley - nurse shift change (since Faith is neither over 5 nor the baby's sibling, Tom and I had to take turns) Surprisingly, considering that he's 5 weeks premature and so little, his lungs work just finesmiley - ok About the only thing he's not doing on his own is eating. And the photo I got to see showed that Anna's assertion that James doesn't have that funny preemie look is rightsmiley - smiley

Congratulations Amy! There certainly exist such things as great-aunts. I hope little James Michael adds some healthy size quick!

smiley - biggrin

I got to see him day before yesterday. So cute! Tiny and skinny, of course, but a newborn's face. I got a couple pictures of James and Anna at the end of my visit--waited until the end because I'd had to scrub up to go into the nursery, and I figured touching the camera would get me contaminated again, but if I didn't touch anything except the doorknob after touching the camera, 'twould be fine... I'll eventually get caught up on my online album!
