I don't usually find bookmarks edible but I do recall hearing of a librarian who found a book (by smell) where someone had used a kipper as a bookmark.

oh a lovely book mark story....so I usualy use my monthly train pass for a bookmark in my book because well I read most of the time on the train...well anyways I had a female friend who did the same thing...well she had hurt her self a couple weeks prior to this by trying to go down into the basement with a bowl and falling and actualy some how landing on that very same bowl making some interesting bruses and getting cut a few times on her bum...well her "boyfriend at the time" decided as they were patching her up to take a picture of her bum and then when he got his film developed he put it on the fridge in...well as she's leaving the house that morning she see's the pic and takes it off and just shoves it into her book...well on the train ride some how she leaves the book on the train...knowing that her monthly pass is in the book she kinda is despret to get it back...she asks lost and found at grand central and they so no but she should check with station that the train originated at...well she goes up to the window and there is a little older lady working behind it but the rest of her office was filled with guys who looked like they worked on the rail...she inquired about her missing book and train pass...and the little old lady asked her "is there anything else in the book that might help identify it as yours" thats when my friend remmbered the picture and kinda blushed and said there might be a picture of her bum in the book also the laddy laughed at her and handed the book to her...the guys behind the lady started excanging money that they had bet and the little lady told my friend that she didn't think anyone would admit that to get a book back....

I think I would have grat difficulty not opening books were I working in a library - like, once you have opened books, you can _read whats inside_.

is that not why we have also spent many a long posting talking about scientific theories undoubtedly first written down properly on paper, possibly with a pencil?
Will we not go on at somepoint to talk about the joys of origami, or is that perhaps paper abuse from the paper lady's standpoint?

Oragami would be like being made into a work of art for a paper lady. Kind of like my designer sheets.

I'm still thinking about the events of last night. Thank you for telling me. If you hadn't, I couldn't try to help.
