A friend of mine played a similar trick GD but this one on a very windy road. He ended up upside down in a stream. Lucky for him that he had been prudent enough to install a roll cage and recaro seats and harnesses so he was fine. The car was a write off of course!

So this wouldn't be the right place to whine that I'm going to have to get to the DMV and get my learner's permit again and learn to drive and get my liscense soon, would it? I don't *want* to drive

Never mind Amy - we cant all love to drive!

But I can't avoid it much longer... When we got the car, we got an automatic, so I wouldn't have any more excuses... And then I managed to put it off until spring, and here it is February, and I'm going to have to do it soon

Of course, that will stop the nagging... (Family, coworkers, friends IRL and even one person here! And complete strangers... But I guess when you're 28 and don't know how to drive... What's wrong with being a passenger, eh? And that's what busses and trains are for...)

Well I love driving. My ex didn't though. Because she was really quite bad at it. Took her test four times before she passed and then didn't drive for 3 years! I managed to eventually teach her to drive safely but she never enjoyed and scraped the firm's car on a lot of ocassions!

I can sympathize. I took driver's ed, passed the last test perfectly, got my licence, and have driven twice since I got it. I can drive, but I really don't enjoy doing it. Although it is worthwhile, if only for flexability reasons.

Although you are in California...
(Montanans have a thing about Californian drivers, because they move here without ever having seen snow or ice, and then they drive insanely on really icy roads and wreck their cars)

Ah , but see, I had my permit at 15... That expired, so I got another at 16... Got another a couple years ago, and I'll have to get yet another this spring... I think I've actually driven maybe a dozen or a score of times But only if you count practicing in empty parking lots... Otherwise, maybe half a dozen times?

Anyway, let's talk about something else...
