Overwhelming Futility

The other night watching the 6pm news I was overcome with a sense of overwhelming futility when I saw Rummy in a press conference. Rummy was explaining why the pictures of men claimed to be the sons of Sadam were shown to the public.

The sense of futility came fron the look on Rummy's face. It was a look as if to say "why am I explaing myself to these people?". It was the look of someone who is part of an autocratic group (well he was *appointed* by someone barely elected)

Seeing the look on his face gave me the feeling that "they" are going to do what ever they want and won't have to answer for any of it.

Going Away

I leave for a much overdue weeks holiday tomorrow morning. This also means I'm going to be away from H2G2 and arrive back horribly lost. I'm off to a smaller but warmer town and should have a journal entry when I return.

Help! I'm part of an endangered seecies

Recent figures show that the Birthrate in New Zealand 1.8 and as we all know zero population growth requires a birthrate 2.0

The population is still growing however, by thousands of immigrants. Immangrants are age good thing as they bring and interisting diversity to a country.

The problem ie, with a dropping birthrate (currently 1.8), the people immigrating here will soon be comming to live in an empty house. With only other immigrants to call "countrymen"

Just some stuff

Recently I've been told my journal area is sad and lonley. Does this mean I'm busy or lazy? To be honest I must say it's a bit of both.

My can has just been to the vet today, to get stitches removed. She has been broken (or fixed as we humans would insensitivly put it).

That showed me that a groggy cat is both entertaining and relaxing. ofcourse she "claims" not to remember a thing.

Hmm cat behaviour. There could be a guide entry in there somewhere. smiley - smiley
