The other night watching the 6pm news I was overcome with a sense of overwhelming futility when I saw Rummy in a press conference. Rummy was explaining why the pictures of men claimed to be the sons of Sadam were shown to the public.
The sense of futility came fron the look on Rummy's face. It was a look as if to say "why am I explaing myself to these people?". It was the look of someone who is part of an autocratic group (well he was *appointed* by someone barely elected)
Seeing the look on his face gave me the feeling that "they" are going to do what ever they want and won't have to answer for any of it.

I am well familiar with that sense of futility, Apparition. Do you remember when Rummy said that Osama Bin Laden had 'evil eyes'? We realised then that Rummy himself has evil eyes!

Yes, it was back when they started bombing Afghanistan, and they were talking about civilian casualties. Rummy said 'these gentleman are practised liars' and you can tell OBL is evil, because he has 'evil eyes'.

I cannot stand the contempt Rummy has for questions. It's like every question asked of him is a personal insult, that he can't *possibly* understand that anyone would question his plans, his motives, or anything that his hand has touched. He treats the press and the media as idiots, and by extension he is treating us the same way.
He, along with Cheney, Ashcroft, and Wolfowitz, is a very dangerous man indeed. Bush is just dumb.
