WELCOME TO MY PAGE
Life is very strange isn't it. I married very soon after 'A' levels and was totally immersed in bringing up my four daughters and helping to run our family business. A few years ago we went throught a bad spell, seemed to be one disaster after another including my husband becoming disabled and the loss of the business. I felt that I was struggling to climb a hostile cliff face with rocks constantly trying to dislodge me.
Now I find I have reached a sunny plateau. The youngest daughter got the keys to her first rented house near her university this week and the oldest reaches 30 next week. The three older daughters are married to men that we like and get on well with and they have eight lovely grandchildren between them. Though we are still very much involved in their lives we no longer have the responsibility. Our role has changed to back up and support (and babysitting).
This has given me the space to look around and take in the view. We only gained access to the internet in March and it has opened a new world up for me. I can talk to people with very different ideas to mine, be introduced to new books and theories, learn on line.
I am still getting used to the new me. Chronologically I am 50 but I feel a whole lot younger. Life is such an adventure. What next I wonder!
P.S. On the Goegraphical side I come from London, UK and live in Co Antrim Northern Ireland.
