JLC the TTP aka ...It's All Happening!

Welcome to the h2g2, glad you are embracing the net. My mother thinks it's the devil, something about www being inverted 666??? Not that you remind me of my mother; I've gotten to the point where I remind me of my mother. LOL, actually, the name owlmeister reminds me of my grandmother. She was a nightowl, with a motto of "I don't do mornings!" in her later years. I still miss her a lot. I am sitting here in her old house in Waldheim, Louisiana surrounded by the garden she and my grandfather created. We even have a racoon that we feed. I am going to set the leftover watermelon out for his feast tonight. I am visiting with my mother as I live in Alabama for the past 10 years too long. Time does pass quickly and it is strange.
It sounds like you have accomplished a lot in your time here and I am happy that all is well in the world for you and yours. Enjoy!
Worlds of Love,
JLC the TTP

Thank you for your welcome. My children always called me the Owl because I have a large ammount of useless information stored in my brain and anything I didn't know I would insist on looking up. Drove them all to distraction. My son in law is an engineer in Germany and is about to start studying to be a 'Meister' i.e. expert so we all adapted various 'meister' alaises. For example my mum does a lot of crosswords so she is wordmeister.

My mum has amazed some of her contempories by being able to logon and send emails though she hasn't progressed to anything else on the net yet. She has just got a mobile phone as well. She is quite a young 76 but my granny who only died a couple a years ago was independant into her 90's. I could never quite get my head round having a granny and being a granny. Seemed odd to be both at once.

I see in your home page you mention sweetpeas. We have a trellis covered in sweetpeas which I can see as I type and the house is full of their scent. We also have masses of pansies which always seem to be smiling. The ones we planted this year have quite a strong scent especially in the evening. My husband does our gardening. I do odd bits like deadheading but he is the moving force. We made it easy care as he has rheumatoid arthritus and is limited in what he can do but he still manages to produce a garden full of colour and shape.
Sitting in a garden seems so calming. Every day there are new buds or shoots. Gives you a sense of perspective. No matter what, the birds still sing, the flowers bloom, the trees bud and our problems pass.
