W**k is still confusing, I expect I shall still have a job in a month, but I can't be sure. It could be anything from papershuffling and telesales to Brewer
I have applied for an alternative job incase, and it offers everything the current one doesn't. Heat in the office, a living wage, a pension, prospects! but no brewing.
I know if I walk away from the chance to brew now, having got this close, I shall always wonder, but it is a frustrating environment.
Downer#2 A piece of art I bought a couple of months ago (I really couldn't afford it) fell off the wall and has broken. I can glue it back together but
Downer#3 A certain researcher seems to be going out of its way to insult folk. I hope he gives up and goes away soon.
Just eaten a box of exotic that I was given

That was very noble of you Toc, I admire your devotion in saving Munch from the ones!
I am sorry the brewing job isn't going well. Is there anyway at all you could set up your own?

It all comes down to When I looked into it when we were all made redundant last time round, £40K+ was needed for equipment, then there is a building to be considered then barrels(£50+ each, and they go missing) then raw ingredients, heating etc.
There are quite a few breweries in the area, and at least one is funded externaly as a hobby and is doing the BA thing, and undercutting rival breweries
That's the trouble really, the chap who I am working for is trying very hard to make ends meet, and it is very difficult to brew a quality product, and meet costs.
I have been doing sums from my end, and I don't think he will be able to pay me the sort of salary I need to stay afloat .
Munch even mentioned re-morgaging the flat (Aww isn't he wonderful) but we are not in that realm. I still hate to do telesales and I wouldn't be able to escape it if it was my brewery!
Finaly, there is still an attitude, particularly up here that a lass can't possibly make beer so that would be a problem to overcome as well.
Cheers, but I guess I'm just in a negative frame of mind today. .

1 - I hope you find a good job you're going to enjoy soon - telesales is only for people who've sold their souls!
2 - Isn't it a bugger when that happens?
3 - Well, they don't come in ones or twos...! As for this guy, he sounds insecure and is probably in need of some female attention

from me too.
As I thought, Toc, you have obviously gone over the options. I do hope things look brighter in the morning.

Telesales is hell on earth. Meanwhile, I recommend that you buy another box of chocolates. As for the insulting researcher, perhaps he does need a bit of female company, but my take is that he wouldn't know how to behave properly, judging from his poor manners toward the virtual version.

You did you know, and you were sober!
You're right, you do keep forgetting what you have said......
Hmmm I could really take advantage here
Thanks everybody for the helpful comments, I shall just have to sit it out and see how it all works out.

We rarely regret what we do, we ALWAYS regret what we don't do. Sorry, pretending to be wise. I'll stop it now.
I know you REALLY want to be a brewer luv, but as I've said before, you can always go back to it again after you've sorted stuff out. And if you are looking for a brewing job while in a nice warm office job, then you won't be taking the first job that comes along..no?
Anyhow....we talk properly soon - you still coming last weekend in January?
Also, are you two gonna come help me drown the birthday blues?
