FINE!
[Clipboard draws some type of horible weapon. It covers and hides his hand from view. It seems almost to be sort of a long mechanical claw, covered with spikes and blades and electrified parts, bristling with shapened things and beams and elctrified wires, flailing like the tentalces of some kind of horrible octopus.]
Swords it is!

hey, Ming!
I only have one more question that you could help with, so here it is:
I've noted that there seems to be two types of forums: personal, and those like Camelot. so... how do you set up one of the "camelot" ones?
Please answer me, but not if it goes into "advanced html land"

The only difference between them is the number of people talking in them. Unless you mean conversations on people's personal pages and those not on personal pages. If so, then what you do is find the 'Add Guide Entry' button that is lurking somwhere on your page and press that. Then you can create a new page exactly the same as your homepage and get people to go and talk on it.
Is that OK?

blah blah blah...

Hey, Ming.
I thought about what you told me on the personal vs. not personal thing...
So basically, those that aren't on people's personal pages are forums on guide entries?
blah blah blah...
RedfoxIII Posted Jul 2, 2001
also, i just wanted to make a forum called "Psych Ward"
blah blah blah...
RedfoxIII Posted Jul 2, 2001
yeah, probably.
So, when i do that, i'm actually making a guide entry? And it will show up in the edited, sane Guide?
Oh yeah... How do you do links in forum messages?
already dug up faces...
blah blah blah...
Ming Mang Posted Jul 2, 2001
You are making a Guide entry, but there is no way it will show up in the Edited Guide! http://www.h2g2.com/h2g2/skins/Alabaster/images/Smilies/f_winkeye.gif" />
To do links, you just type the whole link in, including the http:// bit. But if you put a link to anything outside of the BBC in a forum then the moderators will take it out. You are allowed external links in entries though.
