I've just posted something to Empty Sky on the 'no subject' thread and I hope all of you (blicky, Della and you too wraith) will read it.

The insinuation in posting 5 from Member was quite out of line, in my opinion. Okay, he didn't actually come out and say Della was racist, but he did insinuate it. But I still think he is the only person to have leapt to this unfair conclusion.

Della - nobody thinks you are a racist! Okay? And if Member does, well that's his problem.

Anyhow, please read my posting on the 'no subject' thread. Meanwhile, blicky, please try to calm down because I don't think this argument is going anywhere as it is. I can understand your anger and frustration but writing postings in anger doesn't do anybody any good.

Good luck, Wraith! I just checked out the 'no subject' thread, which I didn't know about - and all I can say is whoa! Scary.
azahar keeps going on about me apologising for using the W word. It means what I said elsewhere that it means - I had never heard (Blicky's and now azahar's)definition. I am assured (by Jimmy and others here in Ak,) that it *means* what I thought it did - i.e., phoney, wannabe etc. Blicky has elsewhere accepted this definition, which is why I will not apologise - given that elsewhere, I *have* in fact made up with him. Why azahar and Hoo/Member/Number want to keep it going, I can't fathom... azahar is on the god thread trying to make me apologise to other people for things even more unfathomable!
In fact, I am unclear what they said the W word meant to begin with.

As for Oetzi... who *knows* what's eating him?

Oh dear, Wraith you are right and spotted what my teachers always knew my slap dash approach to spelling is atrocious, but look at any "qwerty" keyboard and you will see that the U is next to the I. So that error is a typo.

It was an error of mine to think you would be able to honestly inderstand or understand and debate anything when it should have been clear to me that your were blinded by your loyalty to Della.

I do not accept Della or Jimmy's definition of the word because Della is a proven liar and her son can hardly be deemed to be a independent source of information can he.

Della has admitted that words taken by some to be a normal noun can be seen by others as an insult. That both meanings can be mutually exclusive and yet in this case (if there are indeed two widely held meanings and we have no evidence that it has the meaning she says anywhere else but in her head) she refused point blank to acknowledge any other meaning and went on the attack. This is sad because I gave a calm reply (if it was a little glib) that had no anger and explained why using the word was offensive.

Her response throughout the whole matter has been nothing short of insensitive to the negative impact it could have on others as this is a public site. I dont believe in hiding reality, thats why I responded to it and didnt yikes her. Im not scared of words but people who go around whinging about the 100 times more times hurt they have felt without seeming to consider the hurt their words can cause other people. It becomes more worrying when they are backed up by people who think I should not be bothered about this because what they post does not amount to Apartheid need to be challenged about there attitudes to "race" problems.

One of the biggest reasons that racism persists is that quite often those who perpitrate it and just as importantly those who dont and can even be considered to be anti-racist are not aware of what it really is and the harm it does. I seriously doubt that Della had any intention of racially abusing me or anyone else, but her refusal to accept she has does not diminish the fact that she has. So she did it invonlutarily, this makes it all the more important that she learns more about the subject and does not out of hand reject information that others offer her. You likewise need to understand that there is more to racism than Apartheid.

The accusation camne from Hoo/Member/Number originally I believe, but he had no proof either, just a bunch of assertions.... (such as that the public computer without access to other sites, that I was using, was a myth! (What was *that* about?) He's called everyone else he's ever disagreed with a liar, from Insight to az herself.

"Jimmys information" could perhaps be influenced by the fact that he wnts to support his mother and tainted by the fact that he lives under the influence of someone who is very stressed at the moment. He also lives with someone who tells us shes a christian.
