Hi, y'all, or as we say here, "youse guys". I am about to get a cup of 
and I am very happy about that.
Last year was truly the year from Hell, but I have a funny attitude about it - there were some good times, especially the week Gerard and Megan were here - that was so awesome! (Why is there not an elephant smiley?) Hey, maybe there is...
So, what will 2005 be like? Jim will be off to University to study 
ing, and I will be doing things. Exactly what things, I shall advise anyone who is interested as time goes by...
Of course 2004 was the year that Garth died - and also Meg's grandmother Ngaire, Annjanette's grandfather Vivian, and Garth's friend Lindsay.
It was also the year of the devastating Tsunami, and the latest potential casualty figure we heard on the 6 pm news (last year 
) was 135,000. What can I say about that? 
for all who died, and prayers and tears for all who have lost family and livelihood.
Let's be optimistic, and hope for 
and happiness for all, and specifically for my h2g2 friends.

Any resolutions? None as yet... Maybe, to not stay on h2g2 so long and so late into the night (which it is here).

11 and a half hours to go here. Let's hope 2005 proved to be better than 2004. I hope you have a happy New Year, and that uni goes 
for you.
Resolutions - only one - to continue my clear out of stuff I don't need. Red Cross had a van load off me before Christmas so I hope that will help the Tsunami victims, and there will be more soon to Oxfam.

A clear out of stuff is a very good idea! I like to do that periodically, but Jim is a pack rat - it's really difficult to get him to comply.. 
However, when his bro and sis-in-law were here, they all cleaned the place up and out when I was out on job related stuff (or as MV would say, missions...)

You have cold and sunny, we have warm and cloudy... sigh... In the South Island (I heard on the radio news this morning) they have flooding! Not again, they must be thinking, poor sods.
