Hi megapode/Bob/Nick.
Your name is chewing away in my head. My day will be one of trying to figure out why your name is so familiar!
I hate this--Does Hallmark mean anything to you?
BTW I'm also from Johannesburg!!!

Yep... used to work at Hallmark. I was a computer programmer there. I came in after Neri Credo and before Peter Johnson.

BTW Congrats Bob! You were single back in the Hallmark days. How long have you been married? Ever see Peter Johnson?
Would you want to be added to the h2g2 South African Researchers page?

I last saw Peter in 1999. In Bristol. I was over there for a holiday. We have sporadically exchanged e-mail since.
I've been married about 15 months.

Would you give me his e-mail address? I would love to e-mail him.
I am still amazed at meeting up with you on h2g2 after all this time!

Thanks Bob. How you enjoying h2g2. Hope I'll see a megapode entry in peer review one day.

How do I like H2G2?
From the point of view of the programming behind it I think it's very clever and well thought out.
I'm still making my mind up about how truly useful it is, but I guess it's really up to us "out here" and what we put into it.

OK, oh infinite one....
Say I want to submit something that I think is truly useful to the guide?
E.G if I go to Top / Everything / Science, Technology & Medicine / Computers I can see some articles there that deal with various languages and programming techniques. But there's no apparent way to add to this section - at least not at a high level, you can post replies to what is there already.
OK... fair enough, you don't want any Tom, Dickhead or Harry spewing forth whatever s/he thinks is useful and intelligent, but if I want to put forward something for inclusion in that section then what do I do?
TIA

If what you wish to contribute has not already been covered, then you can write a new entry and submit it to Peer Review. Unfortunately at the moment, edited entries cannot be combined. This is something which has come up before and hopefully Jim will, in the near future, be able to do this.
Another option is to join the University http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/C573 and write for them.
I'm pretty sure you have already looked at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Contribute but if not please do as it may answer some questions.
Any other questions could be answered by a guru (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A540271) or you can ask the ACE who welcomed you to h2g2. These are all people, always ready to answer questions.
Go for it my friend.
