I've got a question. Since Journal Entries can turn into forums if commented on, will a link in a journal entry be moderated? How about the one above, in the subject heading? For instance, if I mention that I found some cool information on[URL Removed by moderator], will that get nixed?

I'm worried that the world will become uninhabitable for life as we know it. If anyone reading this is an environmentalist, could you please take the time to at least remind me that I'm not the only one who's worried, and that there are people alive who can and are doing something about it?
If you think environmentalism is a bunch of balogna I'd rather you not try to cheer me up by telling me that I'm worrying needlessly. I've been studying this in college, and I have definatley reached the conclusion that environmental scientists are as smart as they claim to be.

Last night we had dinner with a lawyer who works at my dad's firm. He is recently divorced, and before that our family and his were good friends, usually seeing eachother on holidays. Now apparently he (whom I'll call "Al" because it isn't his name) rarely sees his youngest (still in 8th grade, his oldest is at University). Al decided that last night would be a good night to introduce his youngest son to his new girlfriend, who also has a son (about my little brother's age). Al's son, who is usually loud and rambunchous, was very quiet last night and after dinner my family commented amongst ourselves how well he was taking all this. Today we find out that Al's son had absolutely no prior knowledge that Al's girlfriend and her son were going to be at this dinner. In addition, after dinner they all went to the movies, and Al bought two tickets to one film for him and his girlfriend, and two tickets to a film that started half an hour ago for his son and her son. All this together with the fact that Al talked to his girlfriend's son more than he talked to his own at dinner, and the fact that Al's girlfriend was hanging all over him, made Al's son very upset.
Does anyone have any explaination for how an otherwise reasonable man could treat his son this way?

Another good open mic. Played all originals and I think the audience actually liked it. At least the two girls who went up after me (who, by the way, played a great set) told me they liked my environmental protest song
I bought some audio cassets yesterday because I was going to put the pocket tape recorder I've owned for two years now to some use, but when I played back what I had recorded the speed kept slowing down and speeding up so that it's hard to understand and frustrating to listen to. Either being in the car warped the tape, or maybe there's something wrong with the actual player
My journal is lonely. No one visits it
