Arl I just wanted to say that I was a little bit mad at being excommunicated from the Muses and reacted in a way that I would not normally do - I was motivated to post by anger and hurt and I let it get the better of me. I should know better.
I still can`t believe that I bayoneted you, then blew you up with grenades, then flambe`d you then ground you up with a tank . It`s lucky that I wasn`t carrying a portable Nuke at the time otherwise it could have got really ugly and I might have done something I would really regret
BBW told me when I was offline that you took it in good spirits which makes me very glad indeed as I certainly menat no disrespect and in all other circumstances would have come along quietly (well at least if drink had not been taken that is).
Anyhow I wanted to let you know that I was sorry and it`s a sign of your character that you took it wuth such good naturedness.

Actually, to be honest, I had heard that the Cat War was a fairly slapstick thing, and being new to it, was not sure how slapstick it went. At the time I assumed that this sort of thing was common in threads like that Eventually I realized that someone had upset you enough to drive you off of the site, and I understood that you were just venting in that post. It did lead to some fairly comic moments
I'm still wondering how you managed it, concidering you were handcuffed at the time
In all seriousness I hope that the issues that caused you to leave the site have been resolved, and that everyone in this Virtual War has calmed down. If we could get the real world to act like the party thread you set up at the Musehome it would be a great day for mankind.

Yes Arl, it is slapstick (and still is) and allows a degree of continuity tolerance - we were aiming for clever witty play and by and large got it. There are some really really funny things that happened that stil make me laugh out loud.
I have no excuse for slipping out of the handcuffs saving that i can wield weapons with my teeth pretty good can`t I (yes I know pathetic). Besides, I`m not sure handcuffs would have been effective on a Dog ... collar and lead yes .... muzzle yes ... handcuffs, well ????
All is calm now and I`m very very grateful for all my friends who took the trouble to contact me offline and put time and effort into persuading me to come back. If the world had the patience, kindness, generosity and tolerance that I`ve seen from all in h2g2 then the world would truly be a magical place. That is a very nice thought indeed and I`ll hang onto that.

Pawcuffs?
Did you know that the character Arlecchino is traditionally a servant? Is that why you have me serving drinks in the party thread?

I have a slight passing familiarity with the comedy of art and I vaguely recalled from somewhere in the depths of the vast dusty warehouse that is my memory, that the Harlequin was a subserviant in some fashion to Pantalone. I was also struck by imagining you sewn together badly much like Arlechinno's original costume. All in all it seemed a good fit for a servant with a mischevious side at the celebration .... plenty of opportunity for feeding people with bits of flesh .... shades of Titus Andronicus eh !

Titus? Look further back to Greek myth: The House of Atrius!
Indeed, a good fit. By the way, Commedia is on the front page today, and there's a picture of me (before I fell to peices )

..... you got me, I had to look Atrius up but I recalled the story when I did. Any connection with atrocity ~ atrocious I wonder ?

Wow. I'd never thought of that, but it makes sense.
You'll find much of Shakespear is derived from Greek Myth.
