Hey guys! I have absolutely no talent as a singer, so could I join your band in that position?

I can do a mean wolf howl, though.

No we are sharing the postion of non-singers!

But How would you like to do be a non-mixer or non-tambourine player or some other non-postion!

Well, I was thinking of a lead non-singer, along the lines of Mick Jagger, or David Lee Roth, or um, Davey Jones (lol). You know, someone who doesn't really play any non-instruments, just sings. Or doesn't sing, in this case. And who doesn't strut around the stage and doesn't do obscene things with the mike and who doesn't sweat buckets. The rest of the band, of course, is free not to sing back-up vocals and even lead vocals on some numbers.

That was what I had in mind. If that is really objectionable to everyone, then I can sulk for a while and then find some other way to participate.

Please don't sulk, GL. We sort of had a non-Beatles thing in mind, where everyone takes turns not singing. But we still need a mis-manager, an anti-roadie, and a non-engineer, to name only a few of the non-positions we haven't filled.

It would'nt be fair if everyone didn't get a chance of singing

Ah, well. I can't quite see where I could fit in in a Beatles-like non-band, since all 4 positions are filled. I'm not so keen on the behind-the-scenes postions mentioned, so I'll have to let you do without my considerable non-talents. Try not to be too devastated. If I think of something, I'll let you know.

Maybe your laboratory has some studio space we could reserve for us not to record in?
