It will take a while for you to get used to it, but hopefully you will like it. If you like role-playing, you should love it. You haven't been here very long and are already role playing. There are people on h2g2 that meet and greet newcomers and one will probably be around soon to give you some links. In the meantime, you can go to the main h2g2 page and follow some links from there, or you can go to my page and look into some of the conversations that I am participating in. Just click on my name and you will be taken to my page. You might want to drop in to Lil's Atelier - it is a good place to meet people and have some good conversation. Just read the last page or so of posts to get a feel for the place. You could also lurk there for a while before posting (i.e reading posts, but not posting). symulpost is a term I have seen. Those fancy pictures that deackie used are smileys and there is a whole page of them that you can use. The most common ones are :- ) (without the space it gives ) and :- ( (). Here is a link for the smiley page:
