Is this right:
<> or should it be "the Intel "Plonk Plink Plonk Tink" sound

Well, your guess is as good as mine really!
I'm sure you know the sound I'm trying to convey, and the former is what it sounds like to me, but if you think the latter is better then I have no strong feelings - I sat for a while trying to work out how to write that sound in words one lunchtime, but my colleagues started to look at me as if I had gone strange, so I settled for what you see!
Basically, either is fine

In the section "What Should my Patent Application say" there is too much information for bullet-points - <./>SubEditors-GuideML#UL</.> is there another way this can be presented?
I'm thinking of the progression down with using the tags, it makes another different kind of bullet, which I can't find at the GuideML clinic I'll see if I can find an example in an EGE
Take a peek at "General Information" in A5137283
Open Daily: then open bullet point March and open bullet point October before the next bullet point proper.
Or I can just remove the bullet points in that large section...

I've put the whole section "What Should my Patent Application say?" under separate subheaders, removing the bullet-points altogether...see what you thing (if you want the subheader titles changed that's no problem) I love that "Professional Pedants"

Hi GB!
Hope you had a good w'end, and sorry I didn't get back to you on this before
Subheaders look good, but I have to say I think there are too many, especially since some of the secitons run on from each other.
I would loose the headings "professional pedants", "other applications" and cover all aspects, because they fall within the previous sub-headings. I don't see why we need be restricted to one paragraph per heading, but if we are then we keep them.
I would also change "Research Your Own Application" to "Research Patent Drafting", because that really tells you to look a how a patent is written before you try to write one.
Sorry this is turning into a huge job for you! Do have some and to keep you going!

I've made those changes
Tell me how it looks now (we don't need one para per section, I'm quite happy to tweak until you're happy)
This isn't a chore, believe me. A chore is an unco-operative author

I had a great weekend, many thanks
My older son & his g/f Jenny came over from Sheffield for Mother's Day so we collected my mother and then all went to a local pub/hotel/restaurant for Sunday lunch
Most excellent meal it was too

Sounds like a great weekend.
I hadn't dared organise Mother's Day (I'm never sure if that should be Mothers' - is it one mother or many?) events because Mrs Ugi is due to have our second bab litterlly any day. New babe held off, however, so we took our older one (only 2.5 herself) out and about in the sunshine. She had a fab time, so we did too!
Subheaders look good, although on reflection, I think I would also take out "New and Non-obvious", since that is really just a continuation of the previous sub-heading.
Nice work!
Ugi
*Settles in to join GB for some of that and maybe just one too ...... or maybe two!*

should that be "even if your invention"?
Blimey, you're gonna be busy then!! When's the due date?
Subbing "Filing for a Patent"
Ugi - Keeper of typos & spelling errers - MAT (see A575912) Posted Mar 3, 2008
It should.
Due date is 12 March, but Mrs Ugi's feeling like it could be sooner rather than later. Our first was 4-days early.
If I disappear without notice, you will know why!

Yes, I had rather gathered that
I'll change that (I am going as fast as I can, honest, sorry to be so slow but I'd rather be sure)

<<The Search Report tells you what the Patent Office Examiner has found when he/she searched for previously published inventions in your technical area. It is worth reading this carefully, especially if your application has not yet been published, because if there is a document from somewhere obscure disclosing your invention, you may want to withdraw your application so that it doesn't publish and draw attention to an invention **for which you now know you are never going to receive a patent**Patent Offices have databases of scientific literature which scientific researchers would kill for, so just because they find it, doesn't mean your competitors will.
>>
where does it say (earlier) that you are never going to receive a patent?
Subbing "Filing for a Patent"
Ugi - Keeper of typos & spelling errers - MAT (see A575912) Posted Mar 3, 2008
Sorry, maybe this is not too clear:
If there is a document already disclosing your invention then you know you will not get a patent because your invention is not novel.
Thus, if the search report shows an obscure knock-out earlier document which isn't widely known, you might consider withdrawing your application to avoid publicising the development, and rely on secrecy.
Make sense?

<<If there is a document already disclosing your invention then you know you will not get a patent because your invention is not novel.
>>
You mean if someone else already invented it?
Can I change that to:
If there is a document already disclosing what you have invented (by someone else) then you know you will not get a patent because your invention is not novel.
Or something similar...
