is for your then?
Is there a word missing there, or does it want rephrasing?
Perhaps a patent really is yours for the asking then, but the million dollar question is: Can I afford it?

Well, strictly speaking the document would still be an issue if you had written it, but you should know about it in taht case!
Let's look at that paragraph again - we have:
It is worth reading this carefully, especially if your application has not yet been published, because if there is a document from somewhere obscure disclosing your invention, you may want to withdraw your application so that it doesn't publish and draw attention to an invention for which you now know you are never going to receive a patent.
How about:
It is worth reading this carefully, especially if your application has not yet been published. If the search report shows an earlier document which discloses the whole of your invention then it will not be considered novel and thus your application for a patent will not be granted (remember: you must have a new invention as your part of the patent bargin). In this case, you may want to withdraw your application so that it doesn't publish and draw attention to an invention for which you now know you are never going to receive a patent.
Longer, but hopefully clearer. Let me know if you think that helps.

Should have been "for you then", but perhaps clearer as "... really is what you need, but ..."

I'm up to the table, do you want me to centre the text? (No trouble, I do this all the time with my constellation entries)

Sorry - I'm lost there.
If you changed to wording or even spelling, I can't see what you altered .
If you mean that it's unclear, what I intended was that if you draft your own application then it's more likely to be rejected, but you will not have invested thousands of pounds in it. If you seek professional advice then your chances of success are better, but the cost is greater. Thus it's more risky to do it yourself, but you don't risk losing your life's savings.
I tried to bet my butcher he couldn't reach the meat on the top shelf yesterday but he turned me down - he said the stakes were too high!

I didn't alter it, I was asking you if it made more sense to drop the word "the"

Do you want the totals column along the bottom in bold as well as the first line?

Hi GB!
All looking v. good to me - you're a !
Yes, I think bold in the totals line of the table would be good.
Also, the totals column should strictly have the *** note against it (saying that it's for 8 countries) for all rows where there is *** in the EPO column - sorry I missed that when I wrote it.
You definately deserve a or two after working through that lot!

I'm not finished yet!

Um, do you mean the totals column going across or the total column going down (at the end)?
Sorry, I don't understand what you meant
