First Bit
This is the page of Perfectlynormalbeast. Its contents will be a little sparse at the present time as I have not had time to think of anything meaningful to put in. I just wanted to put something in.
To fill the space without exerting my grey cells too much here is a joke which I have always liked. It's based in the county of Yorkshire in the UK where I spent many happy teenage holidays. To "get" the joke you need to know that yorkshire people often use E as an expression as in "E it is hot today". E therefore is used rather like "wow". Anyway here is the joke:
A Yorkshireman is unlucky enough to be widowed rather suddenly. He thinks hard about how best to commemorate his wife whom he loved a great deal but who was also herself was a devout Christian.
He decides on a nice marble headstone with a suitable engraving and after some further thought decides that the right wording for the engraving should be "She was thine Lord" reflecting her dedication to God.
He commissions the best mason in Skipton (a small town in North Yorkshire) to make and engrave the headstone and two weeks later takes delivery of it.
He immediately notices an error in the engraving - the mason had put "She was thin Lord".
He returns the headstone to the mason with a note saying "Please change the engraving - you have forgotten a letter E".
A further week later the headstone is returned from the mason - our man eagerly unwraps it - the engraving now reads "E she was thin Lord"........!!!
