"thats the point i made to aka earlier about a certain comment they made."
Did you? Which comment was this? And yes, no thread is private on h2g2. But there is such a thing as virtual seclusion, and where what seems to be at least a /personal/ or otherwise not-so-public conversation is going on, you should usually stay out.

Etiquette, manners, politeness. I fear OHTT knows nothing of these concepts. Consider this explaination of his actions here on another thread when he asked if he could help me:
*cl zoomer -Yes, you can help, thanks. Would you care to answer the questions I asked on the *For what it's worth thread* on this thread? What brought you there and what is your purpose in staying?
okay who threw that !!
can you tell me why you are book marking my conversations? and the answer to your question there isnt one and even if there was one i wouldnt tell you*
I explained I was bookmarking the conversation to illustrate how threads aren't private but there was an etiquette involved:
*cl zoomer-
Consider a cocktail party. You are having a conversation with someone of the opposite sex, just the two of you. I could stand with my back to you and listen in and you both know it. If I suddenly turned around and started talking to you, you might not enjoy the company. If I break into the conversation with negative comments you definitely wouldn't like it. If I attacked you you would be more than upset. Simple enough for you?
okay who threw that !!-
i think youve just ruined your point (if there ever there was one) now buzz off*
I rest my case.

'Nuff said.
This illustrates why I don't think it's worth bothering with this trolling sock puppet at all. If we ignore it, perhaps it'll go away.

Reply to 337-
It's called sarcasm, look it up.
That was another thread, does it have relevance here? Are you trying to say that my now invisible post means I have no moral right to state my mind?
I'll say before you do that yes, the post I just posted about another thread does have relevance since the actual subject was this thread.

Uh. You're saying the first post in this Thread amused you?
Because that's where that link leads to. And with no #TAG linking it to a specific post on that page, either.
Clarify which post you think was so funny.
That is if you want to of course.

Funny?
*oh dear someone's touched a raw nerve*
Funny as in funny peculiar that a newbie jumps into a thread they were attracted to *because it was the most active* and makes a comment on an ongoing conversation that they could know nothing about. If you're everything you say you are at the very least you should be apologising profusely for making stupid comments about things you know nothing whatsoever about.
Newbie? Give me a break, I've worn socks for 24 hours that stink less than that.

So it IS true. You perceive anything said about you to be true. So if we ignore you, thus say nothing of you in ignoring your apparent presence, you will not be offended/insulted and as such, will go away?
I'm sorry if /this/ offends or insults you, but that's really pathetic. Your perceptions of life must be just as crass. And that's pitiful.

*name calling*
Show me one single post on this thread where I have called you a name other than *sock puppet*, which is what you appear to be and have done nothing to disprove.

Right. Duly noted. If we insult OWTT, OWTT will answer our questions.
*pause*
Is it me, or is this waaaaaaaaaaay too tempting?
I think we should institute Plan Beta, aka. That's code for "ignore the -er" We probably ought to Plan Beta anyone who says anything about digiboxes or this whole stupid debacle. It's easier that way.
Or, we could change Plan Beta and add a "and flood the thread with chat" clause, using the digis own tactic against them. They start trolling, we all flood the thread with niceness and inane chatter and throwing. Beat them at their own game.

The point is OWTT that is what *YOU* have done here...
Look personally I from time to time come across threads and look at them (like when they are on the busiest convo list ect). However I then make a judgement as to whether or not it is appropriote for me to join in.
If they are say discussing Iraq; or the next H2G2 downtime then I may well join in. If I dont know them and they seem to be having a personal convo I wont. That is good mnners on or offline and you should have followed it here.
To give my supermarket example again if you had barged into said convo; no doubt the participants would have asked who the hell you were to barge in. You could well have answered "It is a free country I am entitled to" you would have been "Technically" correct but it is still bad manners.
If you cannot see that then I am afraid I am quite glad I do not know you because I try to avoid ill-mannered people whereever I can.

hmm... I think I meant "initiate" instead of "institute". All this broken english is damaging my IQ.

okay, in my opinion you have not shown yourself worthy of participating in this thread and as a consequence I am voting with my conscience. For me you do not exist here - you are of no greater import than a gust of wind and of no more consequence than a blade of grass. For me you inhabit the past and you are not part of my present or future - I will have no more to do with you *FINAL*
*votes for a total boycott of okay on this thread*
