This gives me a great position in the museum: between Archangel Fashion Cat and Catwoman. Much better than being next to that stuffy old vicar.

Bagpuss and Catwoman - together at last. What a formidable duo!

Not that I've anything against stuffy old vicars; some of my best friends are stuffy old vicars.
I should probably have introduced myself instead of barging in with my sense of humour. I'm Richard, currently residing in Leeds.

I can see from your name that you're a music fan, and you live in the home town of one of my favourite bands. Hurrah! I'll check out the voting thing later on - try to redress the balance I think probably exists at the moment.
Name's Chris. Lives in Devon. Occupation: primary school teacher.
Nice to meet you, Bagpuss.

Which band's that? I'm not that much of a music fan, I'm just advertising it for Eternity. The researcher called Eternity, that is; I'm not doing it forever.
I'm sort of on the border between Hyde Park and Headingley, really quite close to the cricket ground. Do you know Leeds, then?

The band in question were The Wedding Present who were based (early on) fairly near you. The pub (is it called the Hyde Park Corner?) was a favourite of the band.
I used to go out with a student in Leeds when I was in Manchester, so I got to know some bits of Leeds, though it was a few years ago now. Used to go to Ilkley a bit as well but I supose that's a bit far out from Hyde Park.

There's the Hyde Park, on Hyde Park Corner; it's not very good. (£1 for a game of pool?) Don't know the band at all.
Ilkley is a little way from here, but on the same road (i.e. the A660).
Amy, you're in Leeds as well, so you could join the conversation instead of making daft comments.

I'm racking my brains (such as they are) trying to remember the names of some roads. If you go up the road out of Leeds, past the University till you get to Hyde Park, then go diagonally across the park (past the swings/slides/whatever) and down the road off the far corner of the park. Round there's roughly where I used to know. Victoria Road? Richmond Road? Sound familiar?
