You say you felt similarily about Reagan, does it wear off, ever?
I hoped (hope) that maybe it would, I don't carry them around all the time, but also I think maybe they shouldn't ever completely go away. You should always remember that it is not always 'just politics', a difference of opinion, something like that

My brother-in-law was inside the campus at Berkeley when Governor Reagan made the decision to spray tear gas there. That seemed wholly unacceptable to my brother-in-law at the time. It was a sign of Reagan's
warped decision-making procedures.
