Hi Paul I have enjoyed your posts for some time now and figured I better get over here and say so!
I also enjoyed looking at your page.
The first song in your journal made me giggle.
I never knew (still don't)what people were singing and sayings were even worse to figure out as a kid.
Ooh you write about dreams a lot too!
Fun stuff to me.
Have you met h2g2 Jellen or seen her dream journal?
You might like it

Sorry, I haven't met Jellen.
Thanks for dropping by. I have been having really strange dreams all my life. I would much rather live in my dreamworld than the real one, but I guess I'm stuck with the current arrangement.
My mother had some old 78-rpm records that I liked. A couple of them featured some "Little Orly" stories, recited by Lumpy Brannum, who later became Mr. Green Jeans on the Captain Kangaroo show.
There was also "Pedro in Brazil," which was annintroduction to Brazilian music for American children. Some nice Carioca stuff, which might have been based on Carnivale songs.

I never knew Mr Green Jeans real name!

I fondly remember a cartoon that appeared on "Captain Kangaroo"
in the 1950s. It was called "Tom Terrific," and it was about a boy who could turn into just about anything. The Dana Carvey of his day
