I live in West Roxbury, which is just across
the river from Dedham. 
I am very far from
downtown Boston, and I don't think about it much.

Olmsted, who designed Boston Common, also
designed a strings of parks and boulevards
along the outer edge of Boston. I live on the
Jamaicaway, which is the boulevard that links
the parks. It was supposed to be a tribute to
the Champs-Elysees in Paris. 
The Jamaicaway
is gorgeous, in my opinion. I wouldn't want
to live anywhere else.
