Hello there.
I was reading your entries on Rodgers and Hammerstein and the Musical Play with great interest. I wondered if you had considered submitting the R&H one to peer review? It is missing info on Allegro, Pipe Dream and the film State Fair, but as you can tell from my own entry on Kander and Ebb - A839081 - I don't necessarily feel an entry of this nature should go into detail into absolutely all the shows a person/team may have written. I think the entry is very good and deserves a place in the edited guide.

Hi, David.
Thanks for the kind remarks.
When I started writing the articles, I asked
around for advice, and was told that the articles
should be done in the University of Life thing,
which is being discontinued now. I guess peer
review will have to be endured. I never
did figure out the Guide ML thing, which held me
back from doing any individual entries....

GuideML's not too bad, but I think the scouts and subeditors are happer with a well-formatted entry in 'plain text' than a badly laid out one in GuideML, which makes it much harder to fix.
If you want any help with anything just shout.
A while ago, I tried to write about the musicals of Andrew Lloyd-Webber, but couldn't overcome my loathing of Cats (and general lack of enthusiam about some of his other projects), so I gave up!

I rather liked "Cats," at least the video
version that I saw. The composer didn't need
much of a librettist/lyricist, as T.S. Eliot
supplied everything he needed.
I liked the movie version of "Evita," thought I
wish Meryl Streep could have done the title role
rather than Madonna.
I saw a pantomime version of "Jesus Christ Superstar"
many years ago at my church.
I haven't seen any of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's other
musicals, nor do I much want to.
The most recent musical that I saw on stage was
"Ragtime," which I loved. Audra MacDonald was in that
production, and I've seen her in some other things since.
Such talent!

I didn't get to see Ragtime during its brief run in London as I was tied up wth rehearsals most of the time it was over here. I must get hold of the CD, though, as I've heard nothing but rave reviews for the whole production.
