Christmuse Dinner
Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Started conversation Nov 26, 2001
The Christmuse Dinner ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A481844 ) is scheduled to begin on Thursday, December 13th this year.
All muses are invited and encouraged to bring friends or family. Arrive early if you would like to help set up or greet other partiers.
The spirit of Christmuse, not to be confused with Christmas, has nothing to do with religion or commercialism. It is a time of Thanksgiving. Please see the above link for details.
I would like to ask all muses to give one another a special gift, if you are able. Please randomly select another muse(and not yourself, and not the Musemother). The Musehome Roster is at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A498936. If your muse has a link to the SSS page, please visit the place they have advertised. We all would like visitors to the places we've created on h2g2.
If your random muse does not have a special place on h2g2, please drop them a friendly greeting on their userpage.
This is a gift of time, and brother/sisterhood. If you can't do it, that is perfectly fine. I'm not taking the time to investigate who visits and supports who, nor would I want to.
HAPPY MUSINGS, MERRY CHRISTMUSE, AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Hi, Dragonfly.
I foolishly failed to notice your post about the
Christmuse Party when you first sent it. I didn't
see it until today .
There is so much I don't understand .
What is an SSS page? Do I need to bring a package
down to the Post Office and mail it to the designated
muse? Would it get there by next Thursday?
Would one of my humorous essays be acceptable
instead of something from a store? Can I email
it or post it instead of mailing it?
If I choose a recipient who gets more than one gift,
isn't there a danger that someone else will get
none? Why can't I send something to the Musemother,
as well as to someone else? I have something
that I think the Musemother would like? . It's
about Shakespeare and cats, among other things....

YAY!!! You can send a little hello to any muse you like...
This is not a physical gift... just some h2g2 support... the SSS page is the Societies, Sites, and Services page... you'll find a link at the Musehome... It should help explain things...
And one of your witty marvelous essays would do nicely...

Thanks, Dragonfly.
(Sometimes I still feel lost at this huge site ,
even though I've gotten around quite a bit)
I finally did look at the SSS list, and was amazed at
how many of the places on the list are already part of
my daily rounds. The haiku threads, in particular!
