Spent a big wad of cash on 4 new boots for the car - never mind, it'll maybe save me wrapping it round a tree, that WOULD be expensive....
The gig was a total blast. I had a great time, the band had a great time and all the new songs went down well, so a good choice methinks.
I was mugged coming out of the car park by the rest of the band. They then proceeded to sing me Happy Birthday at the tops of their voices in 4-part harmony.... I didn't know where to look. At least it was dark - and they didn't do it on stage....
Hope you had a good one. I'd been planning to get up early and write all the researchers on the list a Happy Birthday note - I got up late, was taken shopping, got the tyres had tea then went gigging, so totally didn't have time and forgot anyway!!
I'm crap.... and I know I am!!

Crap is not one of the words I would have chosen to describe you
I am glad you had a good day What are the new songs that you did?
I had a fab day too - we took OJ's kids to my favourite restutrant on the Friday night - they have now gone on holiday. On Saturday Mum and Dad came for a visit and took us to the pub at the end of the road for a meal - that have a nice resturant and we had good food and better wine (and rather more than I should have had on luchtime!) After a little sleep in the afternoon (wine not age I hope) we got the house ready for a party. While a lot of my friends were not available about 55 people came and we had a blast. Some of the guys from the theatre had lit the garden and it looked amazing - I had asked for some light for people to see by but got an amazing light creation The sound guys also arranged the music - all run from an iPod and wireless speakers... I did not think I would enjoy it but I did apart from when everyone sang Happy Birthday (there was no hiding for me) and made me blow the candles out on a special cake my sister had made and my Mum delivered! We still have a number of the decorations up - I am not sure what else to do with the balloons

If they'd put candles on my cake, the Fire Brigade would have to have been notified and placed on standby.
I've been so busy lately I just haven't managed to HooToo at all....

They got me candles that were the letters 'FOURTY' so it was not that many to blow out!
But the fire brigade were on standby

I suppose I should make a big thing round here of being 42. I tried getting into the movie for free as I was 42 - that failed....

I forgot to mention the new songs....
One Way - The Levellers
Smoke On The Water - Deep Purple (we finally succumbed)
Don't Stop - Fleetwood Mac
(the first live album fast version of) We Will Rock You - Queen
Straight into....
Don't Break My Heart Again - Whitesnake
Played a bike rally outside Milton Keynes on Friday night - it was like the Somme. I only walked 10 yards across the car park and my trainers felt like lead divers boots with the weight of the mud stuck to them. I feel pretty sure the stuff must have been a close relative of peanut butter.
The support band went on late - probably because the majority of rally goers hadn't sorted themselves out and made it to the marquee, which of course meant we went on late and then had a real hard time getting away at the end, as we kept getting hauled back to do "ONE MOOOOORE SONG!" (You need to imagine that shouted in your best totally pissed and barely standing voice).
I was totally wasted all Saturday and then went out and did it all again at the Roadhouse in Birmingham (only without the mud!) COnsidering it's almost 1am, I'm feeling quite spritely, best get some w**k done while I can!

We've always got gigs coming up - check out the web site for a venue near you. (Or not so near in your case) I think Witney or Northampton are as close as we get to you.... Or the occasional Milton Keynes.
