h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Last time I went, I was Riff Raff, which really suited my hair. I thought I looked the bees knees. I had the white face paint and the black sunken eye sockets - the whole works....

As fate would have it, there was this horrible bug going round at the time, which I had escaped.... until they started playing the song "Sword of Damoclese" (which I thought was just too spooky) I knew what was ahead for the rest of the evening. I had to leave before the encores, knowing full well that I was going to be parting with the contents of my stomach - it was just a case of how long I could hold onto it! I managed to make it home, so didn't need to resort to stopping the car at the road side, which was only a little comfort. When I took my makeup off - you could barely tell.... My face was white and my eyeballs were sunken!!

That does not sound good! Its one thing looking that way with make up - its another just looking that way

Mind you with out make up I am about that pale anyway!

I'll take your word for it.

At least the bug didn't last too long and I was quickly back to my old self.

How is your week going?

Can't remember how that week was going, this week is great. I'm on a training course, learning all kinds of good stuff about the machines. I'm supposed to be going down the pub in a minute or two, so best get a move on....

What are you doing for our birthday this year?

Nothing planned as a celebration - I suppose I ought to do something H2G2ish, being as I'm 42!!

I think I'm playing that night in Nuneaton. I suppose it's too late to try and organise anything - especially after my 40th party and only 1 guy showed up!!

I've chatted with Saturn Girl at Red Dog's fan club - or rather did, that's gone awfully quiet. I've run into Crunch Frog as well, can't remember where, but not recently though. It'll be a good opportunity to get reaquainted, wishing them all a Hippo Birdy!
