Paul, what the Lady is trying to say is that she and I used to be couple and now we aren't.

Sorry, I couldn't tell who she was
saying that to, GreyDesk.
Happy New Year. Hope things get better......................................................................................

In some respects to both. But mainly, 'to better'. Fixing that one will fix the other.

I consider both of you my friends,
whether alone or together.
Now, let's go out there and survive
this winter!

Blimey GB! That must have taken some digging to find this thread I know LHG had long deleted it from her journal list - well, it was passed its sell by date really wasn't it - and I think that in the process had unsubscribed from the thread as well.
In actual fact we parted on good terms. Light always reckoned that I was a wonderful guy (which is true ), just not the right wonderful guy for her (which is also true, sadly). Her reasons for ending it were sound and with hindsight I realised that they were absolutely correct. It didn't stop it hurting like hell at the time though, but what can you do? It's the omelettes and eggs thing
We always stayed in touch at some level over the two years - sporadic bursts of e-mails mainly. Important news was always relayed directly before it could leak out on site. And for that I am grateful to her.
Now that she's a bit more settled and visiting hootoo on a regular basis, we can catch up and carry on pretty much as we were before any of this ever happened. I am quite content and at peace with the world
