Got back from my parents this afternoon and been in pub with C.

Roll on New Year! 2003 I remember being very young and 1st hearing about the Channel Tunnel. they said on the News it would be ready for 1993 or something and i remember thinking how far away that was. How quick it all goes. Doesn't 1993 look Maybe I am drunk!

I remember the Chunnel being opened - it seems like for ever ago - is it really 10 years?

I don't remember exactly when it opened. I just remember being young in the late 80's and 1993 being a long time away. It probably got severly delayed in construction anyway.

As for what I am doing in the new year. Jan is pretty action packed but I'm not in Brum at all. I may be in London but don't know when. Do you know what you've got planned<?>

Not really - I dont have any London days in the diary yet - but things change quite a lot

Actually not strictly true - there is the hootoo meet on the 25th and I plan to be there if I can although one of my friends is having a party the same day and will be upset if I dont go. I guess I should check wtih GD and see if he is still going and if he minds if I go too - dont want it to be awkward for others, but I would like to catch up with all my friends

The 25th Jan is a Friday.

I WILL get to a meet one day but something always gets in the way, like with all the Manchester ones I've missed. Also, with all the traveling I do, C gets a bit lonely as it is so I feel guilty leaving her more than I need to but I'll see how this one fit in.

I know what I did, I looked at the calendar on my computer by double clicking on the clock in the bottom right and changing the month to Jan but I DIDN'T change the year to 2003

So it is Sat

The original plan was to go from Brighton when late trains are not a problem. Not sure now what I will do but staying over is a distinct possibility
