Spelling can be... creative in this thread GD, as indeed it is on h2g2 in general, and the rest of the web come to think of it smiley - biggrin

Yes but I get really really hung up on my spelling. It comes from my time as a kid when I couldn't write or spell at all and my teachers wanted to drop my down to a lower class. I was mortified. The only reason they didn't was that my maths work was so far ahead of all the other 10 year olds that dropping me would have looked stupid. And dropping me would have pissed my mother off no end - and I tell you now, you do not want to piss off my mothersmiley - yikes

As for your spelling? Do what you like, but I reserve the right to poke fun when ever I deem it necessary smiley - smiley

Well y0ou can poke fun all you like - just dont use a red pen! I grew to dread the red pen while at school - so may corrections on homeowrk! I was the only one in Top set for everything including double english who also took remedial english! Its a wonderful thing dyslexia!

It took me to well into secondary eduacation to learn to read even vaguely accurately smiley - erm

But GD if it makes you happy I take it as a compliment - I rather suggests that my spelling is heading towards normal...

Well, I've always been pretty good with spelling, but hopeless with numbers. Often, I can't even find a number on a 10-digit keypad! If I swipe someone's credit card through the reader at work, I usually have to search for the first digit when it says "Enter the last four digits of the card #". I mean, there are only 10 to choose from and they're always set out in the same order fer cryin out loud smiley - cross

Sadly I too am now hopeless with numbers. I did a maths degree you see and they tend to beat any arithmetic ability out of you in the first couple of weeks smiley - sadface

Gosho, I can relate to your trouble finding
the numbers on the keyboard/keypad. I often
end up taking my glasses off and going close-up.

People's handwriting is another issue. Is that
numeral a 9 or a 7? A 4 or a 9? A 3 or a 5?

In order to spell correctly, you pretty much
need to see the word in print.
