Neighbours

Well, now that I've finished uni I thought I might have chance to sleep. Ha.

My next door neighbour is building a house. No, really, an entire house, from what I can tell, in his back yard. He goes home at about 1pm, presumably so that the neighbourhood will have a nice quiet afternoon. However, he /starts/ work at 7am, and appears to begin each day by cutting paving slabs in half and knocking down the wall he built the previous day.

Next door to him, there are a couple who seem to be burning every poisonous substance in their house. A constant stream of smoke is floating past my window, forcing me to keep it closed during some sweltering hot days.

These two separately, I might just about be able to handle, but the combination of the two is ridiculous. The burning guy keeps shouting at the builder for making so much noise, while the builder keeps shouting at the burning guy for making him breathe toxic fumes.

I think I'll move into the bus station, it can't be any noisier and the air can't be any less clean...

Revision Revulsion

Well, I've just been sat in the sun for most of the afternoon revising for my last (ever?) exam tomorrow, but my vision was starting to blur and the world began to swim around me.

I'm not sure whether that's due to the revision or the sun, but I decided to take no chances and take a break from both of them.

I, errr...actually finished Thief of Time last night. And I was doing so well.

Thief of Time

My parents bought my the new Terry Pratchett book, 'Thief of Time', yesterday. I have to resist the urge to read it until after my last exam on Thursday.

Revision, or the Discworld. Hmmm...which would you choose?

And so it begins...

Well, I guess the great job hunt starts here. I've been a bit reluctant to distract myself from university stuff so far, but in a few days I'm going to be faced with the abrupt reality. I won't have anything /else/ to do apart from look for jobs. And spend money that I don't have in process, probably.

Anyway, wish me luck.

Thank you. smiley - smiley
