Hi, Vogonpoet:

A fairly long string of posts disappeared from the Haiku Challenge
thread recently. What was the moderator trying to say? That
a lot of them went too far off-topic? That the discussion about
foreign languages was too provocative? Alas, the moderators
seldom give their reasons, so the people who made the posts
are in dark.

For what it's worth, the deleted posts contained some pretty
good haikus. In other threads that don't get deleted, many
posts are pretty much smileys. Is there some kind of smiley
secret code that I don't know about? Are people communicating
secretly by smileys? Mwa ha ha! Now there's a conspiracy
theory begging for the limelight.

Which thread do you mean? I write to 5 or 6 haiku threads, and not sure I would notice if a bit of one disappeared...

I didn't understand your previous post at
first, but now I do. Apparently, there are
two "Haiku challenge" threads. And, the
one that "lost" the posts has just now
had most of them restored. I don't think I
can handle the Yorkshire accent, though.
Somebody else will have to do that

I don't know how you keep all the Haiku
threads straight.

Actually, I've posted to so many different
conversations that I'm quickly losing any
sense of what is happening. I am not helped
by my inability to spawn multiple personalities
that can each handle one conversation.
(But that might be an interesting theme
for a short story...)

To be honest only the two normal single topic threads and the haiku for the incredibly brace three topic thread are doing much at the moment- alliterative, scifiku, and the double topic thread are slow movers indeed, s its not too bad

Why not just write a not understanding yorkshire accents haiku ?
