Hello mate - some good work so far, but I do have a couple of comments.

I think that the majority of footnotes benefit from being incorporated into the text, as you've done. Apart from the first one. I think that my introduction was imperfect, but it worked better than the reworked version. The second paragraph (in your version) detracts from the main subject of the article. My main reason for the footnote in the forst place was in case some people didn't understand the references to these artists

Also, some of the links seem a bit superfluous, or just wrong. London linking to 'The Art of the London Underground poster'? The Van Gogh one works for me, but none of the others.

Of course, any writer is going to see his way as the best way. The way you would approach an entry would probably be hugely different from mine. It could be that your way is better, and I can't see it

Thanks for those comments. You're the author, it's your baby, you know what you want to get across. The link to the Underground posters was because you mentioned his success with posters, but it's no big deal and I've taken it out.

To be honest, I wasn't that happy with my rejig of the opening, so I've gone back to your idea.

Re the rest of the links, the Eds do like to have lots of links, and I don't think they are too far off the mark. I've taken out the 'pickle' link, which was a bit tongue-in-cheek, I must confess.

What do you reckon to it now?
