tonderai's space

hello. who am i? good question. still figuring that one out. i'll post up the answer when i find out.

meanwhile, here's some things i do: study oceanography, read, climb, go to gigs, cook, research. although not at the same time and not necessarily in the same order. so why tonderai (i hear you all cry)? its a shona name i was given whilst staying with a chief in zimbabwe meaning 'good memories'. which they were, especially the intestine soup, scorpions and nyangas ... but it makes very sad thinking about what's happening in that wonderful country now.

go to my home page, dynamitegigs - my live music site for southampton, or my brother etheriel's space - he has a very funny joke there which is mine really (shhhh ;))

distributed computing

hell, while you have your computer on it might as well be doing something useful, right? i completed a year's cpu time on SETI@Home, before switching to something more down to earth: folding@home is out to learn how proteins - life's workhorses - assume their three-dimensional shape, which in turn determines how they work, keeping all life ticking over.

the myth of 42

Easy. I'm U173203, right?. So. (1*7*3*2)+(0*3)=42 Woooohooooooooo I am a veritably fantabulous bona fide researcher . . .

see you around!
