Well... I finally made it to the 'litterbox'
I liked your theory that you mistook me for being in New Zealand because I really SHOULD be in New Zealand... someday I'll go (probably) ...although I'd be a bit wary of the length of the flight. Not that I don't like flying, but I flew 'luggage class' to Vancouver on a 747 a couple of times, and eight or nine hours of that was quite enough in one stretch... a flight to New Zealand would be a whole different magnitude of 'cramped and uncomfortable'!
If I ever win the lottery (first assuming I ever actually buy a lottery ticket!) I may choose to go first class, just for the fun of it
You make Savannah sound like a great place to live... I'll add it to my list of 'Places I Can't Afford To Visit (yet)'
I think a holiday of Chatham Artillery Punch and Southern Belles sounds too good to pass up... of course if the Punch is anything like you say, I wouldn't remember much of the holiday... which would be a perfect reason to go back a second time!
(I've added Los Angeles to my list of 'Places I Can Afford Not To Visit (ever)'!! From what I've seen on television, people get killed a lot there... admittedly it was probably 'Starsky & Hutch', or 'Kojak' or something where I saw that, but it wouldn't be on the telly if it wasn't true now, would it? )
I was talking to my brother (who by the way also worked with Bugs and the gang once, as a scenic artist at a Warner Bros theme park in Germany) and he said that he thought a local girl who he was at school with had worked as a college professor in Savannah teaching art, although she didn't stay at it too long.
Spooky coincidence? Or is my brother more confused than I previously thought? Inquiring minds need to know...
Pass the Chatham Artillery Punch, please...

Hello, sorry for taking so long to respond, but the webpage does not tell you when new messages come in unless you look at EVERYTHING on the page and then you have to be sure to remember how long ago you wrote in...
I HAVE been writing to someone in New Zealand. I must have been very , very confused to confuse NOrthern Ireland with New Zealand even though they both start with an N and end with Land.
I am going to Den ver and Den Mark this year. Obviously this is because I am fond of places with Den in their first names.
As for the teacher in Savannah, could be. There is this art college here at which I work...and profs tend not to stay there very long. The work is very high pressure and it gets to one. I signed on for another year because I like it here but the Denverites are courting me, and there is also Chicago, where there is a studio that would hire me to direct in very short order.
I used to travel a lot because I was working in the countries involved...this is the best way to do it, since you live like a native but can still be a tourist, albeit without having each day free.
Chatham Artillery Punch really is rocket fuel. There really wasn't a whole lot to do in the Colonies besides drink, to tell you the truth. So they did. A little of this goes a long way.
Well, I should be posting about some of my more bizarre travels now that the school year has ended and I can take all of four days off preparing for the freelance job I have lined up from Nashville, of all places. You don't want to know.
Best wishes and I will try to write more often.
Cheers
