Fred, The Incontinent Hamster
I've returned to the Guide after a long absence, and hope that there are still dedicated researchers out there. Here's an attempt at an update to my site.
I still like the name. It's silly.
The hobbies haven't changed much.
My hobbies include reading and watching comedy, travelling around and doing offbeat things in odd locations, and drawing cartoons of people both real and fictitious. I have managed to earn a living doing the latter for a good many years now.
At present I am in the American South, which can qualify as another sort of galaxy. Specifically I am in Savannah, Georgia, which definitely travels in its own orbit. I have also lived in addresses in the North, East, and West. This may be due to a hidden fate that guides my stars, though I think I may be required to 'collect the whole set'. Certainly I have had more than my share of odd coincidences in life.
The latestcoincidence is my inability to fly a kite.
I enjoy wordplay, caricature, and laughter in general. I fancy myself a cook and manage to do all right most of the time. I make very good broiled fish, average baba ghanoush, and hideous looking dead-whaley shaped things that were supposed to be Vietnamese spring rolls but which my friends assured me tasted good anyway.
I love entertaining, travelling, and have been to many unusual locations. I have a strange compulsion to visit Florence, Italy but have somehow never managed to arrange this. I did to import a seven foot python puppet into Copenhagen without getting arrested, which should count for something.
I have always been considered a very serious person.
Many such persons are actually very funny. I am told that I may qualify on this account.
Any researcher in the Savannah area is welcome to drop by for a drink.

I am puzzled about the lack of response to my posts. Am I really that dull? | Sep 13, 2002 | Sep 15, 2002 |

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
