What, the toys? But even if they're tastless, surely if you eat the toys you can sue them and get some money for a decent Easter egg?

I'm fine; just recovering from the madness that was first semester exams (couldn't go to the h2g2 meet because of them 
) but I'm getting to see lots of friends next weekend - Andy and I got cheap rail tickets to go to London, and we're going to stay a night there and then a night in Colchester with someone I first met when I was 3...

That sounds like fun...I used to enjoy going to London for the w/e. Saw a lot more than I do now that I live there...
I'm fine. It's been a bit of a confusing couple of days at work - the Beeb works in mysterious ways - but outside that all is very well if a bit frantic.
I've had a new book commissioned which is actually thrilling. It's a book about Jewish mysticism and it will mean that I'm a 'real' expert
I did a proposal for the book FOUR YEARS AGO and no one ever wanted it. I even sacked my agent and gave up. But she, being the Jewish Mum she is (to her clients as much as to family) assumed that I didn't mean it.
Also, the first proof of my novel is waiting at the office for me to look at it - so it's been a very booky week.
I am constantly amazed - a couple of years ago, life was just awful but now it is wonderful...I suppose it's just about not giving up...
