Since when is a Lifetime Suspension a moderation decision? Since when is it done off-site and in secrecy? For fxcks sake, look at what's happening with AWOL right now. Warnings, pre-mod, suspension, and now the full-blown Transgressions Procedure.
If there's a procedure, and it's ignored whenever the italics feel like it, then it isn't worth the pixels it took to write it. I reckon that proves something, anyway. Be offensive, be obnoxious, break the rules, flame, troll and harrass....go on, do it. You'll get Warned, and maybe pre-modded, but as long as you pack it in eventually, you won't be banned. If it goes too far, you'll likely get the TP, so your friends can speak up for you, and you'll have the week to explain yourself, with the remote possibility that someone might just listen.
Just don't be "LeKZ". The rules don't apply if you're "LeKZ".
Public apology? Yeah right, gonna happen.
Insult to injury. A lot.
Apologies for ranting again.

Another Lifetime Ban - Bigotry and Paranoia in action
Posted Aug 4, 2003
Sickened, saddened and, frankly, disgusted. This may well result in my being moderated, warned, or even banned. So be it.
There's been another Lifetime Ban. U211780 Symphony. Don't bother looking at their space. It doesn't say that they've been banned. There's been no Transgressions Procedure. Nothing. Just an outright ban.
They didn't break a single House Rule. Never even had a post moderated.
Their crime? Apparently, they are LeKZ (Arpeggio)
Bxllshxt.
I know them. I've spoken to them in person. Others on this site know them. They are, and always have been, in the UK.
They asked for their IP address to be checked. For their email headers to be checked. Well, I don't know if they really were, but I checked the email headers, and they showed a dial-up ISP in the UK.
I was under the impression that during the Quincy/Satyagraha (sp?) witchhunt, that the IP logs were touted as infallible. Well, if they showed that those accounts were DEFINITELY operated from the US, and even as specifically as Denver, Colorado, then how the hell did they not show that the Symphony account was always and only ever operated from the UK?
I can't see this as anything other than blatant discrimination. Symphony are Multiple. They made no attempt to hide it. Why the hell should they?
I'm beyond angry. I'm furious. They're crying.
Let's just see how long it takes before this gets modded, shall we? Or how long it takes me to get a warning. Place your bets, folks.
Nick

I'm back......sort of
Posted May 9, 2003
Just posted this in another thread, and thought I'd stick it in my journal too.
Erm....alright Well, I'm alive!
I wasn't really going to go into much detail onsite, but I did post to the ACEforum a little while back. I suppose I should say something here, though!
I had a brain hemorrhage and a stroke a couple of months ago. I lost speech, hearing and sight, and couldn't do a whole lot past trying not to die! I think I succeeded.....or this would be a lot harder to type
I was slowly getting myself together, and starting to recover, and then my gall bladder decided to make a break for it I've been in and out of the hospital for the past 3 weeks, and I'm just waiting for a date for surgery.
I guess you could say it's been an interesting 12 months
I'm sort of dropping in every now and then, but I'm not really up to much for the time being. I'm hoping to be back as soon as possible. I miss everyone.
Nick
