Since when is a Lifetime Suspension a moderation decision? Since when is it done off-site and in secrecy? For fxcks sake, look at what's happening with AWOL right now. Warnings, pre-mod, suspension, and now the full-blown Transgressions Procedure.
If there's a procedure, and it's ignored whenever the italics feel like it, then it isn't worth the pixels it took to write it. I reckon that proves something, anyway. Be offensive, be obnoxious, break the rules, flame, troll and harrass....go on, do it. You'll get Warned, and maybe pre-modded, but as long as you pack it in eventually, you won't be banned. If it goes too far, you'll likely get the TP, so your friends can speak up for you, and you'll have the week to explain yourself, with the remote possibility that someone might just listen.
Just don't be "LeKZ". The rules don't apply if you're "LeKZ".

I know. It's pxssxng us off too. Yeah, it's unfair, but like Kim said...who told you life was fair?
Thing is, we're just not willing to rock the boat, y'know? After what they did to us, we just don't feel safe enough to open our gob about much that isn't nicey-nice right now. That last bit on the final email they sent us got us paranoid as all hell.
We get the feeling we're being watched, and we're none too keen on it. Expected it, course, but still not keen. It means that we're being ultra-ultra-careful about what we post, where, and how.
If we thought it'd make a blind bit of diff, we'd ask for that apology we were promised. Thing is, we reckon we'll get it the day the devil straps on a pair of ice skates and skates to work. In a tutu. With a purple penguin on hir shoulder singing excerpts from Jesus Christ Superstar.
If that happens and we miss it, could someone take a photo and mail it to us
