Talk

I want to talk to you
Talk like I've never talked to no one before
I want to talk to you
Eat at the apple 'til we've ate through the core
I want to let you know
Know that knowing leads to letting it go
I want to let you go
Go wherever you can alter the flow
I want to talk to you

I want to change your mind
Change it to something that'll dazzle mankind
I want to meet your mind
Meet on the corner where the answers unwind
I want to see your face
See that puzzlement resolve into grace
I love to watch your face

I want to fan your passion 'til it bursts into flame
I want to talk history where we all take the blame
I want to laugh 'til I'm risking a cardiac turn
Can you feel your spirit
Can you feel it burn
I want to talk to you

I want to learn from you
Keep your mind open you can be my guru
Then I will listen to you
After we'll lay back simply take in the view
I want to hear you think
I won't say a word 'til we're right on the brink
Of total meaninglessnesslessness

Last night I watched the Moon explode
Oh don't laugh. No don't laugh. I'll overload
Last night I felt the whole world's pain
Oh don't laugh. No don't laugh. You'll start me off again

I want to fan your passion 'til it bursts into flame
I want to talk history where we all take the blame
I want to laugh 'til I'm risking a cardiac turn
Can you feel your spirit
Can you feel it burn
Can you feel
It
Burn

I want to talk to you

Milton Keynes: The Movie

Draw a line under my affairs
I'll try to sort my love life tonight
Like the scene in Potemkin
With the pram on the stairs
I've got a downhill bumpy ride in sight
Lucy asked me if the diamonds are real
Well they certainly looked real to me
A change of subject was hard to conceal
If I asked her out to dinner did she think she'd be free?

Life's like Milton Keynes at night
You always end up back where you start
Everybody is a movie star
If they only knew they had a part

Had a job then I got the sack
I was meant to nail together some wood
Like Tarentino when he's trying to act
I don't think I was very good
I was comforted with a knowing smile
Now my life's turning out for the worse
Me and Lucy walking down the ailse
Well I'd rather see me off in a hearse
I'd move to Russia first

Life's like Milton Keynes at night
You never really know where you are
When the sky is filled with orange light
You'll never get to see your guiding star

So I fooled "Have I got chances with your old school friend?"
She said that soulmates only come in twos
My sense of humour was a cue for the end
Now she ain't got a lover I ain't got a clue
Found a policeman who was cool for a joke
I bet his boyfriend was a real good lay
Like the guy in 'Tora Tora' when the prop shaft broke
I think I've really earnt my money today
Sometimes it goes that way

Belladonna

Once upon a premonition
That was told to all and one
We were bound by superstition
As a sickness veiled the Sun
We had called for re-enforcements
And the word was they were near
But without the God's endorsement
There's no point them coming here

The hag had had an omen
With a meaning hard to find
That no force would take the legion
Unless led by woman kind
Now our bad luck had prevailed
'Cus the Brittons were not far
And they followed a female
With the name of Boudica

Beautiful lady with widening eyes
Deadly nightshade grows where your body lies
Belladonna Belladonna

The attack came like a fire
That was born within the Sun
I had fought throughout the empire
With the Gaul and bloody Hun
But this wave of pure aggression
Turned our discipline to fear
As our ranks fell in succession
The outcome had become clear

My old father had a saying
To look after number one
In the midst of all this slaying
Do I fight or do I run?
As I came to my decision
I was clubbed behind the ear
Then I dreamt I saw a vision
Of a golden charioteer

Beautiful lady with widening eyes
Deadly nightshade grows where your body lies
Belladonna Belladonna

I awoke with my head ringing
And my body felt like lead
I could hear the devils singing
As they checked that all were dead
Then I felt their hands upon me
I was raised on to my feet
As I thought that death was on me
They just smiled through broken teeth

All around were colbalt demons
They were small and painted blue
One said come you lucky bleeder
We've a job for you to do
With my arms tied near to breaking
I was dragged before the Queen
Where she told me "Stop your shaking.
Go tell Rome what you have seen."

Deadly nightshade grows where your body lies
