The Last Boat

The Last Boat
Hiding inside us is a memory of all there is to know
Where life, death, and chemistry converge into the glow
Of light and darkness flashed upon a stage
We love. We hate. We age.
Time was when childlike, we welcomed every day with opened arms
A morning of innocence, before the sunlight harmed
We told the World "Beware of clear blue skies"
They laughed. They burned. We sighed.
At childhood's end, the adolescent
Far too old for cross and crescent
Despite the pain no tears are shown
Forced to leave this broken home
Now science fact, once science fiction
Reels off some validiction
To dignify the infestation
Of the virus 'Man', onto the rest of Creation
So wave goodbye and wish them bon voyage
They're off to meet the stars
Take the last boat and stow away our worldly dreams
And set the course for Heaven
Here's our last hope to find what all this madness means
We're on our way to Heaven
Finding a new home takes more time than you and I imagine
We wonder why we let the old place go
Living in Time and Space is all we have and all we'll ever know
We're wishing the time away
Living our lives
Wishing the time away

Words to songs that are not sung anymore and if you tilt your head and squint, look a bit like poetry

On Coming and Going
On that day of celebration
On the coming of your age
We were bound towards the Poll Fair
Where we find ourselves a Summer's day
And as if fortune caused the accident
Our arms brushed with a glance
I can still feel it now
It hurts forever
I can still feel you now
Summers turn to Autumn
With the stifling air of falling lives
The ties of love long broken
Our futures lay under different skies
But if we plead 'was it all worth it?'
We must think of what we made
When hearts and minds collide
Then smash into diamonds
When hearts and minds collide
These beautiful diamonds
~~~
On this day of celebration
On the coming of your prime
We are bound toward a cross-road
To start our lives a second time
When we're old they say we're left
With only memories of smiles
I will remember you
Hope you remember me
I will remember you
Chat?
Posted Apr 22, 2001
Well I've spent a few hours the site now, and I must say that it isn't anything like imagined it would be.
Chatting is like talking to someone on the Moon, sometime's Mars. Why isn't there a live chatroom. It could be monitored. Bad language edited and admonished.
Still.
