<<Paul H., what are the note to that song??? I.E. for a key board <?>>
That depends on the key that it's in.

...*pulls the oak block used for head bashing, left over from The Pun-a-thon from beneath the drafting table...bashes head onto it...*
Paul H. could you at least hum a few bars?
MY song goes like this: C (OH) D (MY) EEEEE(darling nellie grey)F(you) or F sharp(my key board's in the other room now)E E DDDDD D F GG GG AA or BB G A/B G F A/B G EE E D E D DD EE EF A/B AA GG GEE D N
Shirps, I believe you asked what the notes "between" are called? Those would be sharps or flats. Depending on if you're comin' or goin'.

We just got back from a piano eistedfodd where my son S performed three solo pieces (Debussey, Bach + Chopin - from memory) and was awarded 3 A++ certificates!
As we say in SA, "wottaboykie" !

"Legal age" for what and in what country?
At 19 in South Africa, S is allowed to serve in the military, to vote, to drink, to drive and have sex...but not to sign a contract! (he has to wait until 21)
In the US, he wouldn't be able to have a beer in a restaurant without being locked up!

What a clever lad!! Wish I had a speck of his talent
I reckon we'd have a lot less trouble in the UK if the age limit for drinking, driving, etc., was raised back to 21. Some have been talking about letting the voting age start at 16 rather than 18.
Am I getting old or are we being run by the youth culture???? I enjoy some of it, but not much
Thanks Pan, reckon it may be the sharps I like. I did try to play the electronic organ that my uncle bought for my daughter, but always switched it to the harpsichord - just love that sound: harks back to my previous life
Mum&dad did get me a piano when I was younger, but every time I went to practice my old nan living upstairs would bang on the floor with her stick & complain that I'd been making too much noise - the piano got sold
Still, I can't play, but I CAN ENJOY
feeling old

It's all relative. When I was a little kid, the President (Eisenhower) was old enough to be my grandfather. Then, under JFK, the President was old enough to be my father. Things stayed that way until Bill Clinton, who was old enough to be my older brother. Now we have Shrub.
When we get someone who's old enough to be my *son*, I'm going to give up!

Linus - would that be the mouth organ?
Paul - literally relative .
Our shadow chancellor has been "positioned in place" by the shadow prime minister - he just happens to be aged .... 33 - could be a good thing though?

Historically throughout the world, the best engineer or artisan used to be promoted to the Head of Engineering / Design, etc. In SA, affirmative action now dictates that the Head of Engineering must be seen to be "representative". So the change management people shop around until they find someone of the right complexion and gender who has the 'potential' (but not necessarily the qualification) to become an engineer...and then appoint them as Head of Engineering / Design. That person then starts telling everyone else how to do the job they have done all their lives. Alternatively, management instructs the qualified skilled staff to train their own unqualified unskilled supervisor!
Imagine (if you can!) appointing a High School music student as Conductor of the New York Philharmonic, or the Konsertgebau Symphony Orchestra. Next we'll have medical students as Head of Surgery in Hospitals to meet race-based quotas - that's the fastest way of getting rid of all your skilled surgeons on staff, isn't it?

"It's raining. Soon the rain will freeze and make everything look as if it's been dunked in doghnut glaze or sumthin'. All the trees and the tall grasses will be bent over from the weight of the ice as the temp. goes lower and lower."
So is it still raining.....

I am not sure whether SA stands for San Antonio or South Africa.
Chances are, there are some loony practices in both places, as well as many others.

Linus...42, i guess that makes me the answer... Posted Apr 23, 2007
In WR s case it stands for Sth Africa, as opposed to South Australia where you would be able to do all those things at 18

All I know about South Australia is that Sydney turned off most of its lights for an hour one night to show how much energy is wasted on unnecessary lighting. Yesterday was Earth Day, and the Day After Tomorrow will be the Great Global Superstorm. Those poor inuits will finally have enough snow to build their igloos again.

*wonders if he should point out that Sydney is a long way from South Australia*
