I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in awhile. It must have slipped my mind.
Pokemon Update:
Ash faced Winona for his sixth badge. She specializes in flying Pokemon, so the battlefield has two open elevator cars for the trainers. As each Pokemon faints, the opposite trainer's car rises higher, where the wind and altitude make it harder for them to battle. Both Winona and Ash end up using Swellows, the evolved form of Tailow. Ash wins by making his Swellow Steel Wing the ground, thus kicking up a bunch of dust so that he can see the much faster opposing Swellow.

That's okay, I've checked and al, but it's understandable when things get busy or you forget :P
Anyway, Swellow is one of my favourites for fighting with on my copy of Sapphire that I should really play again sometime (but I already decided that I was going to restart Silver :P). I will sometime rewatch the older episodes of Pokémon, since they're all I have :<

Pokemon Update:
Not much to say this time. Ash and company meet Elijah. He travels with a portable projector and movie reels to show to people in smaller towns that don't have a full-sized theater. It's so low-tech that it's like a silent movie. He pops on a tape for the soundtrack and does all of the character voices himself, including speaking for the Pokemon. This time he's showing a Plussel and Minun movie. TR intervenes but they get blasted off again.

That sounds crazy, lol. I wish Pokémon was still showing over here. My friend showed me this great Pokémon site last night, which has comparisons between the Japanese and dubbed versions of the TV show.

Hopefully it showed up, but it seems pretty good :D

Oh yeah, Dogasu. I've known about him for years. A good site.
No Pokemon Update this week cause it was a rerun.

Sorry, my 'net has been a bit shifty. Still looking out for re-runs here, but it's not happening. MAy however purchase the Pokémon Chronicles DVDs though :D

Good for you. We had a new episode, but it got boring very quickly.

Pokemon Update:
Snorlax is eating a forest, and only a Vigoroth can stop it since it has an attack that prevents the opponent from putting it to sleep. Ash and company help a preevolved Vigoroth evolve. It also features Ash's Snorlax and Professor Oaks new Pokeblock that's designed for Pokemon that eat a lot.

Ah, so they've brought Pokéblocks in. I wonder if they'll show the Pokéblock mixing machines?
Also, I'm on holiday for a few weeks now, so I'll be back soon!

Infinite Improbability Posted Aug 31, 2005
They've had basic Pokeblock for awhile, but I think this is the first time we've seen specialized Pokeblock. Professor Oak says one block expands into the equivalent of 300 kg of food. Wow!
This last week I rewatched my copy of Pokemon the Movie 2000. It was cool to see Snorlax in Pikachu's Rescue Adventure.

Two new episodes, neither of them particularly memorable. In fact, the only big thing was May showing off that she had three of the five ribbons needed to enter the major Pokemon Competition. Oh, and they showed off a custom Pokeblock making machine, and Brock wanted to share recipes.

Two more episodes. May faced her new friend and won. She's the one with the custom Pokeblock machine, and her Pokemon is the evolved form of Spoink. Ash spent most of his time teaching Swellow the Aerial Ace attack. Basically it consists of flying high, then swooping under an imaginary limbo bar (he used a real one in training) really fast to hit the opponent unexpectedly. It takes a lot of practice since Ash must call out a handful of commands with precision timing.

Sorry, things have been hectic at my end. I managed to watch a bit of Pokémon on holiday, but I forget which episodes (I think older ones possibly). I also picked up a pre-owned DVD copy of "Mewtwo Returns", since I never got back my video copy. If you've still not seen it, I recommend trying to find a copy

I saw it years ago, and currently I'm trying to get a copy. You see, my local Hollywood is having a five for twenty bucks sale, and Mewtwo Returns is one of the four I've found so far. I still don't get why it's not an "official" Pokemon movie. It seems just as valid as Destiny Deoxys or Jirachi Wishmaker if you ask me. I think the Black Rose is quite possibly the coolest Team Rocket member ever.
Pokemon Update:
We're now into Pokemon: Advanced Battle, i.e. the third season of Hounen. This week's featured Pokemon are the two evolutions of Clampearl. Apparently they need these special stones (not elemental evolution stones, more like a King's Rock) to determine which way they evolve. The stones are found on two islands, and of course all of the kids have a fierce rivalry, island versus island, evolutionary branch versus evolutionary branch. I must confess I fast forwarded through much of it, since it seemed like a stock plot. It was good to see Professor Birch again.

Yeah, I remember those stones. I can't remember which I got in my game though. I've not played that thing in AGES. As for Mewtwo Returns, I think it should be an official movie (even though it doesn't have a Pikachu short). It's the same length as one, and, in my opinion, better than most of the other movies (I've only seen the first three and Mewtwo Returns though, sadly).

I borrowed Pokemon Heroes from my library. Great movie. Latios and Latias are cool, what with Sight Sharing and the ability to assume human form. It was kinda strange having to shift my mindset back to Master Quest, which is where this movie takes place in. I wish all Pokemon movies were like 2000, 3, Mewtwo Returns, and this. Jirachi Wishmaker was okay, but I still don't like them continually revising the past. "There's only 150 Pokemon!" "No, wait, now Professor Oak saw Johto Pokemon as a kid!" "Oh, now theres 251!" "No, 383!" "No, wait!" "James had a Chimeko, a Hounen Pokemon, as a kid!" Ad infinum. I do wish that they'd just say "There are 500 Pokemon species. No more, no less. We'll reveal them one at a time. It'll take years. Years and years for little kids to pester their parents for Pokemon products."

I'm yet to see this one as well, and personally, I preferred the first one over 2000 and 3. But that's just me ^_^;

really? The first one just seemed a little contrived. Plus I'm less impressed with Mewtwo. Maybe he was uberpowerful for the first generation, but I think Ho-oh could still kick his butt. At least for Mewtwo Returns his powers are more reasonable.
2000 is also contrived. I'm all for Ash and the gang to save the world, but this whole "power of one," "only you can save us" garbage has to go.
3 was better, and I gotta say my major complaint is how Charizard was ALMOST as powerful as Entei, maybe 80% of a Legendary Beast, when in 2000 he had a mere fraction of Moltres' power. A major point for me is that Ash's Pokemon may be stronger than other trainers' on a relative scale since Ash tends to stick with the same six for months at a time but they should never be up to Legendary standards. My only explanation is that the Unown-created Entei is weaker than a real one, and that explains it.
As for Deoxys and Jirachi, I imagine them to be about the level of Mew and Mewtwo, which is just a smidge above the Legendary level, but below Lugia and Ho-oh.
And now we got Groudon and his lot. They seem past Charizard etc. I imagine Ancient and Legendary is about the same.
Here's my scale strongest to weakest.
Ho-oh, Lugia
Deoxys, Jirachi, Mew, Mewtwo
Groudon, Raquaza, that water one, Moltres, Zaptos, Articuno
Entei, Raikou, forget the third
Red Gyrados, Charizard et all

The third is suicune
And I dunno... While it did seem contrived, I just liked it. I think I'll rewatch the third soon and see if it's any good. I just had nothing going for me on the second.
