Oh I hate being called Love, darling, sweetheart or any of those things, not even Excelsior calls me love and I don't use them either, except when I'm being sarcastic

Unfortunately, that is actually part of my RL nature.. I am never any different on here. That is me.

I'm the same in RL as I'm am on here

Being called Love, sweetheart and darling is so patronising.

They are not.. where I come from they a terms of affection for someone you care for.

I have to agree with Reef, especially if they're used to refer to someone who isn't your partner. They may not be meant in a patronising way, but they do tend to sound patronising.

Then I am sorry for that.. but it is my nature.. and impossible to change.. They come out as I type my thought.

The only way to stop it, would be for me to return to formal office language. That can sound very harsh if I get my snotty head on!

So therefore, I shall attempt to clarify my situation within the threads.

As I said earlier I don't even like Excelsior calling me love, darling, etc and we've been together for 4 years, I just HATE it

you don't need to worry lil, I know you don't mean them in a patronising way

Just used to call me and various other random people sweetheart didnt like it, specially when its used in the -come-on calm-down way

Oh God that is soooooooooooooooo annoying and definatly patronising, it makes me , it's why I use the smiley instead of saying things in threads where people are sad or in need of comfort, words, however well they're meant can sound patronising and insulting.
