Personally, I don't give a **** - If Andrew Sachs is offended (which I don't suppose he is) he can always sue - for the rest of us, there is always the 'off' button!!

Quite frankly I think that in it's time what Brand and Ross did was not much, if at all, worse than, say, Monty Python, The Young Ones, or an episode of a certain sitcom entitled The Germans.

What really p***es me off is the 30 odd thousand people who weren't in the least offended until they heard about it on the news. What's it got to do with them?

Well as I see it the only people who really have any right to be offended by it are Andrew Sachs and Georgina Baille, and maybe their family. But you've got to wonder how this will affect shows like Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, and Never Mind The Buzzcocks. If you can't make jokes that are in bad taste anymore, within the BBC, then they'll all have to go, as will many other comedy shows. They won't ever be able to show the Simpsons again, and they'll have to cease broadcasting Family Guy and American Dad.

I don't think it'll apply to jokes that don't actually involve the jokee personally - at least I hope not. I'm watching re-runs of MtW at the moment on Dave.
Have you seen Dave's new programme ... Argumental - it's funny and manages to offer quite a bit of lot of personal attacks in one half hour.

I treat all insults as compliments, that way I get more and it bugs the hell out of the insulter when I don't bite and accept it
